NextGen Laboratory

NextGen's laboratory applies multivariate analysis technology and next-generation sequencing techniques from Illumina - a large US corporation.
This technique produces results with high speed and throughput by performing and using a large number of sequencing reactions at the same time:

The speed of the NGS sequencing machine is 60,000 times faster than the traditional Sanger sequencing machine. Compared to the Human Genome Project that took more than 10 years to identify a genome, NGS technology can identify a genome in just one day.

The Sanger method can only sequence one sample at a time, while the NGS method can simultaneously sequence millions of samples at once, so it can perform the analysis that the traditional Sanger method cannot be done, such as Whole Genome Sequencing, De-Novo Sequencing, or using Transcriptome Sequencing for mRNA, analysis miRNA expression or RNA splicing studies, etc.

Deep and diverse analysis technology:

We also perform High-Throughput Analysis using gene biochip (Microarray), providing a variety of analysis results and technical support for many different diseases.

Our laboratory in Taiwan has been ISO 17025 certified every year since 2006.

In 2007, this laboratory also achieved Agilent Microarray Laboratory certification. This is the first laboratory in Asia to receive this certification, technology and quality of testing are always guaranteed.
